The Applique Guild of Australia (TAGA)

Dear readers
It was lovely to catch up with friends and acquaintences at the TAGA ‘Applique in Geelong’ gathering today. I sewed with three ladies from the 2014 Embroidery Cruise, Suzanne, Ann and Merrilyn who were down from Wodonga for the occasion and it was lovely to see Millrose stitchers Simone and Joy again. Congratulations to the TAGA ladies for organising the event which ran smoothly throughout the day and thank you for such a warm welcome. Judy Newman was the guest speaker and presented a very enjoyable and authentic narrative of her quilting journey that inspired us all and she show cased a selection of her quilts. The ‘Show and Tell’ sessions were amazing with the most beautiful projects on display. Thank you to everyone who expressed interest in my work. I felt very humbled to receive your acknowledgement in the company of such exquisitely talented appliqué artists. A truly lovely day Cxx
