Appliqued Table Runner

I have finally finished and really enjoyed working on this 2 metre table runner, a woollen appliqué project on linen tea towelling. I think this fabric makes for a warm rustic effect and over the past few years with Provincial Decor in vogue, recycled (French) grain sacking, tea towelling and reproduced versions have become very popular. I see them for sale in a few places so keep your eye out however it can be purchased easily on line. The authentic grain sacking is quite expensive however I prefer the genuine article, as I like imperfections and the natural look. Sacking and tea towelling comes in a range of colours and stripes and I prefer the taupe, red or blue striped versions. The appliqué pattern, is a design inspired from from Pieces To Treasure in NSW, I encourage you to go online and have a peek at the lovely range of products they have. Cxx
